Service 02

Measurement and analytics

We fix the tracking first, then build the custom tagging your site needs, because every decision downstream depends on it.

Included

  • GA4 and Google Tag Manager: specialist builds, audits and repair
  • Custom tagging and data layer specs written for your developers
  • Server-side tagging and Consent Mode v2, set up properly
  • Enhanced conversions and offline conversion imports
  • Platform numbers reconciled against your own sales data
  • BigQuery export and reports that show the uncertainty

What we fix

Duplicate conversions. Events that never fire. Cross-domain journeys that reset halfway. Consent banners that quietly block the data you rely on. These faults are ordinary and they are everywhere. We find them, fix them and write down what changed.

What we build

  • GA4 property design. We design the property before we build it. We define each event, each parameter and each conversion. We remove events that nobody uses.
  • Google Tag Manager builds. We build one container with clear names. Each tag has one job. We test each tag in preview mode before we publish it.
  • Custom tagging and tracking. Some sites need tracking that a standard set-up does not supply. We write a data layer specification for your developers. It lists each event, each variable and the place where it fires. Your developers can build from it without a meeting.
  • Server-side tagging. We move tags to a server container when this gives better data or a faster page. We do not recommend it when the browser set-up is sufficient.
  • Consent Mode v2. We connect your consent banner to your Google tags. Each tag obeys the choice of each user. Google can then model part of the data that consent removes.
  • Enhanced conversions and offline imports. We send hashed first-party data with each conversion, where the user consents. We import offline sales and qualified leads from your CRM. The ad platforms then learn from outcomes, not from form fills.
  • Cross-domain and iframe journeys. We keep one session across your domains. We track booking engines and payment pages that sit in an iframe or on a third-party domain.
  • BigQuery export and reporting. We connect GA4 to BigQuery. We write the queries that answer your questions. The raw data stays in your account.
  • Reconciliation. We compare platform numbers with your own sales or booking data. We find the gap. We explain the cause and record it.

Why it pays

Ad platforms optimise towards the conversions you send them. Cleaner data means they learn faster and spend goes where it works. It also ends the argument about whose number is right.

What you keep

Every build comes with a tagging plan a colleague can follow, a change log and a test record. Reports show the uncertainty, not one number with false precision. If we stop working together, your team can still run and extend what we built.

Where we usually start

  1. A measurement audit with a prioritised fix list
  2. A rebuild of GA4 and Tag Manager, with custom tagging and consent handled properly
  3. Ongoing analytics support alongside paid media

Sectors where we run this

  • Fintech and regulatedPaid media and measurement for financial services and other regulated markets, where every claim must be defensible and every data flow compliant.
  • Ecommerce and travelShopping, search and social for businesses that sell online, from product feeds to the last-click argument.
  • Public and third sectorCampaigns that change behaviour, with budgets that must be justified and outcomes that must be evidenced.
